Vézelay is only two hours 45 minutes from Paris

The fastest route (220 Km): Follow the A6 motorway towards Lyon, exit at the « Nitry » turn off (29 Km from Vézelay) and take the D11, then follow the N6 and then the N151- The scenic route: If you wish to discover the region and take the scenic country roads then; leave the A6 at the turn off for «  Auxerre Sud » (59km from Vézelay) and follow the N6 and then the N151.

Vézelay is 45 minutes from Auxerre

Auxerre is less than one hour from Vézelay via the D606 or via the A6 motorway. Situated in the Yonne valley, Auxerre is a city that reflects its rich medieval and renaissance past. Auxerre is rightly known as the « City of Art and History ».

Vézelay is 25 minutes from Avallon

At the gates of the Morvan regional national park, Avallon is medieval fortress town, with ramparts and watchtowers and bears the imprint of the earlier Roman civilisation.   Located just over 20 km from Vézelay, Avallon is accessible via the D957. The hotel is a delightful touristic and gastronomic stopping off point for those travelling between Paris, Lyon (270 km) and the South of France.
